The NALF publishes the newsletter quarterly. While some of this information is also published on this website, the newsletter offers expanded news and information about the NALF such as copies of emails received from across the country and other correspondence.

In addition to this newsletter mailed, our President Roland Rhoades has instituted an email newsletter to update members between the quarterly issues.  If you are a member and have not yet received this e-news, please contact Roland to be added to the list.

It is with much reluctance that I update this page--for two reasons.  Part of the story is how fond I was of the article Win did on the Leavitt Barn back in 2005, and the great photo that appeared with it--so appropriate for a web page.  Those of you who visit this site regularly may have wondered why this page was never updated before--now you know.  But a big part of it is the trepidation I feel at attempting to fill his shoes as editor.  Of course, Win's role over the years has never been one of editor alone, and he will still be helping us.  He has turned a page, one he certainly has earned the right to, and NALF too will turn the page, and survive.

Now I am forced to update it because I realize you must send your clippings and newsletter ideas to me for inclusion in our newsletter.  Win has already forwarded a couple of these to me.  I begin to recognize how receiving these notes from far-flung 'cousins' must have brightened his day from time to time, as it will mine.  Please feel free to send me your family news, or anything of a genealogical or Leavitt related nature.
